Marc Renaud is the vice-president of the CIAR with special responsibility for the Institute in Quebec. He is a professor if Sociology at the University of Montreal where he has established the Groupe de Recherche sur les Aspects Sociaux de la Prevention (GRASP).

As well as an invited researcher at the Ecole Polytechnique in Paris, he has also chaired several scientific missions in France.

Marc is Chairman of the Quebec council on Social Research. His professional interests are in the areas of implications of research on social policy and the issue of resource allocation.
