John Wilson was Founding Chairman of the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research started in 1981. He continued as Chairman until 1984. He was also a past Chairman of Woods Gordon (now Ernst & Young Consulting). He also led the restructuring of Ontario Hydro, acting as the chairman in 1994. He is still considered by many to be among one of the most outstanding management consultants of his generation.
