Gerry graduated from McGill University in 1944 with honors in metallurgical engineering. His interests include engineering education and the Canadian Academy of Engineering. His continued interest with research is evident with his being a Director of the CIAR. Gerry has taken a keen interest in the Earth Systems Program. As well as providing personal support for this program and the CIAR, he has worked at receiving private sector support for the CIAR.
