Peter Allen is the second Chairman of the Institute. He is responsible for the launch of the Cosmology program with his gift of $1 million. It is worth emphasizing that this generous contribution made it possible to create an outstanding program with a strong international network in a fundamental area of the physical sciences. He has spent 15 years fundraising intensely for the CIAR.
