Dr. Lou Siminovitch is the father of Canadian genetics and is one of Canada's most distinguished and internationally renowned scientists. Dr. Siminovitch has been a driving force in the creation and success of the Rotman Research Institute (RRI). The RRI is one of the world's leading research centres for the study of changes in the brain associated with aging. He also played a key role in the initiation and early years program of the CIAR. Lou is also responsible for the creation of The Evolutionary Biology program, which is still, today, one of the Institute's most distinguished programs.
