Australia 21 has been modeled after the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research and the Founders' Network.

The Beatrice House model moves beyond conventional shelters to provide not only a safe haven for women who may never have known safety, but also a comprehensive living, working and learning environment for single-parent families. Fraser Mustard is past Chairman and current member of the Beatrice House board.

The Institute for Work & Health is an independent, nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve understanding of factors that determine workplace health, injury, and disability; to recommend and evaluate initiatives to reduce disability caused by work or manifested at work; and to improve continuously the quality of Ontario's rehabilitation services. Their framework is based of that of the CIAR.
The Manitoba Centre for Health Policy and Evaluation (MCHPE) is a research unit in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Manitoba.

Roots of Empathy is a program where baby and parent(s) visit a classroom; an instructor works with students before, during, and after each visit. The students learn about parenting, about themselves, and about how others feel.
